City Council Special Committee's Meeting
September 22, 2012
Minutes of the City of Lincoln City Council Special Committees' Meeting held in the Council Chambers on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Those present were Alderman Anderson, Alderman Armbrust, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, Alderman Tibbs, and Alderman Wilmert. Also present were Mayor Snyder, City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach, and City Treasurer Mr. Conzo.
Mayor Snyder called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll call. There were eight Aldermen present (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Armbrust, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, Alderman Tibbs, and Alderman Wilmert) and two absent (Alderman Bacon and Alderman Busby).
The meeting was called to interview Tyson Terhune. Mayor Snyder handed out questions and Mr. Terhune's resume. Mr. Terhune had applied for the Economic Development position.
There was a discussion about Main Street Lincoln changing the name of the Christmas Parade to Holiday Parade.
Everyone was introduced to Mr. Terhune.
Alderman Anderson moved to go into Executive Session under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) personnel and Alderman Horn seconded it. City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll call. There were eight yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Armbrust, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, Alderman Tibbs, and Alderman Wilmert), zero nays, and two absent (Alderman Bacon and Alderman Busby); motion carried. The meeting adjourned to Executive Session at 9:40 a.m.
The meeting returned to regular Session at 11:44 a.m. City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach called the roll. There were eight yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Armbrust, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, Alderman Tibbs, and Alderman Wilmert), zero nays, and two absent (Alderman Bacon and Alderman Busby); motion carried. Also present were Mayor Snyder, City Treasurer Mr. Conzo, and City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach.
Alderman Neitzel made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Alderman Anderson seconded it. There were eight yeas (Alderman Anderson, Alderman Armbrust, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman O'Donohue, Alderman Tibbs, and Alderman Wilmert), zero nays, and two absent (Alderman Bacon and Alderman Busby); motion carried.
The City of Lincoln Committee’s as a Whole Meeting adjourned at 11:44 a.m.
