Public Hearing

April 28, 2015

The City of Lincoln Public Hearing met in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.

There were six Aldermen present (Alderman Cooper, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn (she arrived at 6:33 pm.), Alderman Mourning, Alderman Neitzel, and Alderman Tibbs) and two absent (Alderman Bauer, Alderman Parrott). Also present were Fire Chief Miller, City Street Superintendent Mr. Landers, and Deputy Police Chief Adams. Also present were City Treasurer Mr. Conzo, City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach, City Administrator Mr. Johnson and Recording Secretary Mrs. Riggs.

Temporary Chairman Neitzel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. on the DCEO Public Hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to review the performance of an Illinois Community Development Assistance Program grant for the clearance or demolition of buildings and improvements, redesign and reconstruction of downtown sidewalk streetscape project, and preparation of downtown redevelopment and revitalization plans for the City of Lincoln.  

Colleen Ayers was present to discuss the performance of the grant through CDAP. The grant was $675,000.00 which covered the demolition of 218 S. Sangamon Street, parking and traffic studies, and one (1)) block streetscape on Pulaski Street (which included street lights).

Temporary Chairman Neitzel asked if there was anyone present that wanted to make any public comment. No one had any comments.

Temporary Chairman Neitzel closed the hearing at 6:35 p.m.
