Public Hearing
November 2, 2015
The City of Lincoln Public Hearing met in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, November 2, 2015.
There were seven Aldermen present (Alderman Bauer, Alderman Hoinacki, Alderman Horn, Alderman Mourning, Alderman Neitzel, Alderman Parrott, and Alderman Tibbs) and one seat vacant. Also present were Fire Chief Miller, Building and Safety Officer Mr. Lebegue, Street Superintendent Mr. Landers, American Water/EMC Manager Mr. Ferguson, Police Chief Adams. Also present were City Treasurer Mr. Conzo, City Clerk Mrs. Gehlbach, City Administrator Mr. Johnson and Recording Secretary Mrs. Riggs.
Acting Mayor Neitzel called the Public Hearing by the Public Vehicle Licensing Board to order at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this Hearing is to consider testimony to establish that in order to meet a public convenience that a Taxi Service be allowed to operate within the City Limits of the City of Lincoln. Such Taxi license would be issued to Edward Malkowski, doing business as Calico Carriage. This determination will be made by the Public Licensing Board, which consists of the Mayor and the City Council, as to whether there is a need and that the new owner will operate a safe and properly insured Taxi service. All interested in the issuance of an additional license, may file with this Board, their reasons for or against the issuance of said license.

Acting Mayor Neitzel asked if there was anyone present that wanted to make any public comment.
Alderman Tibbs thought this was great that this couple would like to take on a taxi company.
The hearing was closed at 7:02 p.m.
