March 23, 2018- Stone River Group received 4 bids, including one that was the lowest in the State.
Aldermen Hoefle and Welch will bring Stone River's bids to Mayor Seth Goodman, who executes an agreement that will save the on average, $123.49 per year, per household.
One can calculate their savings by taking their electric bill and the number of kWH. If you use 800kWH (considered about the average per household) and multiply by 0.01245, you show a savings of 9.96 or an annual savings of $119.52. The actual average household was a bit higher.
The program is optional. No one has to agree to use this program.
It is an "opt out" program that will automatically be on your bill, unless you exercise your choice not to use it and go with Ameren or any other program you may be using.

Lincoln, IL – On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center, Bloomington, IL, the Lincoln Police Department received the Illinois Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (ILCOPS) 2016 Eternal Flame Award along with the Illinois State Police, Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Burr Ridge Police Department.
The Lincoln Police Department is pleased to introduce to our community another great way of being involved at keeping our community safe. We have taken advantage of a free service from Motorola to map crimes in our community called CrimeReports available at https://www.crimereports.com/
We want you to be informed and we need your help to control crime. With this service you will have the opportunity to register your address, which is not shared with us. Once you do, you will receive notifications of certain crimes near you and any updates on sex offenders near your registered address.
We are only listing property crimes; burglaries, thefts, and criminal damage. This is not a representation of all the crimes we investigate on a daily basis as we do not want to provide details on crimes where they are personal, like domestic batteries or sexual offenses.
The Lincoln Police Department and City of Lincoln is teaming with Nixle to offer public safety announcements via cell phones and emails. With more and more people moving away from land line telephones, the reverse 911 system may not contact everyone. So we encourge users of cell phones to sign up with Nixle to receive notices from the City Fire and Police Departments.
You can sign up for Nixle on your cell phone or your email by visiting Nixle Website. Messages will be in a text format and you will not receive phone calls from the system. You will not be signed up to any advertisement systems by registering for this service.
You can also simply sign up by texting 62656 to 888777 on your mobile phone.
(You may opt out at any point by sending STOP to 888777)
