PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

TO THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF LINCOLN, ILLINOIS

Please take notice that the Zoning Boards of Appeals of the City of Lincoln shall hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, to hear the following petition. 

The City of Lincoln is requesting a variation of City Code Section 11-4-6, (C), Yards Required in the R-2 District, to reduce the required, 20 foot rear yard setback, and Section 11-4-6 (B), Yards Required in the R-2 District, to reduce the required, 5 foot side yard setback.  The request for a reduction in the rear and side yard setback is being sought to construct a new garage, and an addition on the rear of the existing building on the subject property. 

             The subject properties are legally described as:

12-2560 Block 63 Knapp, Bird & Tinsley’s Addition to Postville, Logan County, Illinois, commonly known as Jefferson School.

12-2581 Lots 6, 7, 8, & 9 Block 66 Knapp, Bird & Tinsley’s Addition to Postville, Logan County, Illinois, commonly known as Jefferson School Playground.

The petition shall be on file in the Code Enforcement Office in City Hall for public inspection, comment, questions and objections may be filed with the City Clerk until 3:00 P.M. on March 2, 2017.
